Terms of Service

By installing or using Commitment Crawler AI, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. The Service

Commitment Crawler AI ("the Service") is an AI-powered Slack bot that monitors designated channels for commitment language, extracts commitments, and notifies users privately to help them follow through. The Service is provided by Tej Thakar ("we", "us").

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and authorized to install apps in your Slack workspace to use the Service. By accepting these terms, you represent that you have the authority to bind your organization.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the Service to monitor employees without their knowledge in jurisdictions where this is unlawful
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service outside normal use
Use the Service to harass, intimidate, or discriminate against individuals
Circumvent rate limits, security measures, or access controls
Resell or sublicense access to the Service without written permission

4. Free tier and paid plans

The Sandbox plan is provided free of charge with the limitations described on our pricing page. Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months except where required by law.

5. Data and privacy

Our use of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms. In summary: we store extracted commitment data, not raw messages. We do not sell your data.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its AI models, code, and design, is owned by us. You retain ownership of your Slack workspace data. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your messages solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE AI WILL ACCURATELY DETECT ALL COMMITMENTS OR THAT IT WILL NEVER PRODUCE FALSE POSITIVES. THE SERVICE IS A PRODUCTIVITY AID, NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR MANAGEMENT PROCESSES.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

9. Changes to the Service

We may modify or discontinue the Service at any time. For paid plans, we will provide at least 30 days' notice before any material reduction in functionality. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra.
